System Engineer

Job Context:

System & Network Administration:

• Manage on-prem and cloud-based systems (Linux and Windows), performing regular updates, patching, and system performance tuning.
• Administer network devices (e.g., MikroTik, Cisco), manage routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Ensure high availability of infrastructure by performing regular maintenance and troubleshooting.

Virtualization & Cloud Management:

• Deploy, manage, and optimize virtualization technologies such as VMware, Proxmox, OpenStack for server consolidation and resource efficiency.
• Manage cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP), ensuring scalability, availability, and security.
• Automate cloud and on-premise deployments using Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.

Backup & Storage Solutions:

• Design, configure, and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Administer and optimize storage systems for performance and data protection across hybrid environments.

Automation & DevOps:

• Develop and maintain automation scripts (using Bash, Python) for routine administrative tasks and deployments.
• Foster DevOps practices by maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC) with tools such as Terraform.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery/Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.

Containerization & Orchestration:

• Work with Docker, LXC/LXD containers to manage application packaging and distribution.
• Implement and manage container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, or OpenShift for scaling and resilience.

Monitoring and Logging:

• Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring solutions for both on-premise and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Deploy and configure tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, ensuring proper alerting and visualization of system health and performance.

Infrastructure Security:

• Implement and manage security solutions and ensure compliance with industry best practices.
• Use tools such as Wazuh, Splunk for security monitoring and compliance.
• Regularly perform security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Database Management:

• Administer and optimize relational databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and Oracle.
• Ensure database performance, scalability, and security.
• Perform regular database backups, recovery, and maintenance tasks.

Experience Requirements

• 2 to 3 years

Job Requirements

• Applicant must complete RHCSA, MCSA, CCNA, MTCNA training and vendor certification will get preference.
• Working experience in system administration, cloud infrastructure, and network management.
• Expertise in virtualization technologies (VMware, Proxmox, OpenStack).
• Working experience with container technologies (Docker, LXC/LXD) and orchestrators (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm).
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
• Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
• Understanding of DevOps methodologies and principles.
• Strong network troubleshooting skills, including familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, and VLAN configurations.

• Any vendor certifications in network or system is a plus.
